There
are no vehicle accessible camping facilities at this park.
Wilderness,
back country or walk-in camping is not permitted.
Bring
your own drinking water as potable water is not available in the park.
Kennedy
Lake offers sandy shores.
Good
swimming opportunities. There are no lifeguards on duty.
Kayak
and canoe access is available. Beware of changing wind conditions.
There
is a boat launch at Kennedy Lake Park, adjacent to Log Dump Creek.
Open
all year for day use only.
Pets/domestic
animals are allowed. Bring a leash.
Picnic
tables and the pit toilet are wheelchair accessible. This park has a day-use/picnic
area with two picnic tables, 1 wheelchair accessible pit toilet, parking lot
and boat launch. These facilities are located adjacent to Log Dump Creek.
Due
to the steep-sided mountains surrounding Kennedy Lake, the largest body of fresh
water on Vancouver Island, winds whip up across the main part of the lake and
Clayoquot Arm with little warning, requiring extreme caution by paddlers and
boaters.
